Imagine Schools is pleased to announce that the charters for Imagine Weston and Imagine Broward, two high-achieving public charter schools in Broward County, Florida, have been renewed for a 15-year term by the Broward County Public Schools district. Both schools are part of the national non-profit network, Imagine Schools, which encompasses 49 public charter campuses across seven states.
This renewal reflects a strong track record of success and compliance with district standards. Such lengthy renewals are uncommon and suggest a significant level of confidence from the Broward County Public Schools district in the performance and stability of these schools.
Both schools serve students in grades K-8 and have consistently demonstrated outstanding academic performance, each earning an “A” rating from the Florida Department of Education.
Imagine Charter School at Weston, established in 2001, is known for its commitment to academic excellence and integration of technology. In 2024, the school adopted the Cambridge International Education program, an internationally recognized curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and academic rigor. Additionally, Imagine Weston has been recognized as a National School of Character by Character.org, underscoring its dedication to fostering ethical and responsible students.
Imagine School at Broward, founded in 2008, offers a diverse curriculum designed to prepare students for success in various fields. Its middle school electives include environmental and marine science, journalism, law studies, and leadership. In 2024, it was honored as Imagine School of the Year, further demonstrating its commitment to fostering a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.
